  1. Now there’s iTunes Plus, I won’t buy Fairplay tracks on iTunes. DRM is so 2005.

  2. Right. I’ve bought two Fairplay tracks vs 45 Plus tracks on iTunes since April, and I have held off buying at all at least ten times, about half of which were full albums.

    The sad thing is that some labels can just choose to interpret this as “iTunes losing its cool”, despite the overall number of iTunes tracks sold going way up. Their loss, I suppose. iTunes and Amazon are the only games in town now.
