This image is not doctored. Safari 3.0 has an AppleScript tab object. Only took them four damn years.

    Presumably you don’t create tabs, you open a new document and get its tab.

  3. Script Editor. (It’s in Applications → AppleScript.) Choose File → Open Dictionary… and pick Safari - or command+drag the Safari dock icon to the Script Editor dock icon.
