Paul Thurrott notes that the iPod has not boosted Mac sales by itself. I know, it’s absurd - it’s almost as if people bought Macs not because they’re from the same company as iPods, but because of their own merits as competent computers. How stating that will alienate anyone who hasn’t got a vested interest in using the term “iPod halo effect” is anyone’s guess.
