MacPorts is DarwinPorts hosted under the Apple-sponsored Mac OS Forge. Considering the name and the hosting, it seems we finally have an adopted ports system/”package manager” in Mac OS X, or at least one preferred by Apple. Here’s hoping for bundling in Leopard.
