MacRumors uncovers a new revision of their "live coverage" setup, based on asynchronous Javascript - the page will literally fetch new material every now and then without reloading the whole page. The material is regenerated every tenth second and distributed to a number of servers using light-weight and efficient HTTP servers. Cool and bandwidth-saving on their part. It will be used today, which you already will know unless you've been living under a rock with your fingers in your ears in a bolted shut wardrobe in a deep cave which is also bolted shut inside one of Mars' moons.
