so summer is turning to fall here, and i wish the weather would make up it’s mind. it needs to be colder, so i can wear my jeans and jacket and not fry inside them like an egg. i have a strong yearning for rain.

i have to say, i don’t really enjoy talking about local events, so i don’t exactly know what exactly my role here is going to be, but i am sure i’ll figure it out after awhile.

i had some wine for the second time tonight since i turned 18. i think it’s mildly amusing that i seem to be more or less 2 years ahead of the where the law wants me, in different areas of my life. it’s not that i make a conscious effort to break the law. rather, i do things when i feel i am ready to do them. sometimes this is earlier, and sometimes this is later than the “average,” but it seems to be working fairly well so far. hopefully i don’t turn out to be a psychopathic serial killer in a few years.
i am currently listening to music that is a bit too mellow for my current taste, and so i am going to change it to some metric, which is my current band of choice for 45 minute bart (subway) ride from the lush, green suburbia of east bay into the pale grey sidewalks of san francisco. sometimes i sleep, sometimes i read, but usually i just listen to music. it’s very different listening to music for the sake of listening to it rather than as filler noise while doing something else. in that case, the music secondary. i like my music firsthand. live is best, listening while doing not much else is second best.
speaking of live music, i’ve been recording with my good friend ester lately in garageband. she is a great singer and guitar player. i will post a song here for sample when we get something solid down.
